Winter Storm Reminders

With yet another winter storm moving into our area, the board would like to encourage all WoodLynne residents to review the following information.

At this time, American Disposal Services has not issued any notices regarding a suspension of trash and recycling pickup for Tuesday, February 11. This could change during the day tomorrow, depending upon conditions. Please visit American Disposal Services for timely updates during wintry weather. The board will also make its best effort to provide updates about trash and recycling services during a storm. If suspension occurs, services will typically resume on the next regularly scheduled collection day.

Peter’s Landscape, our snow management contractor, will plow the community in the event of snowfall greater than two inches. As outlined in the Community Handbook (pg. 11), residents are asked to take responsibility for shoveling out their own cars and walkways, as well as the sidewalks bordering their homes, as these services will not be provided. It is required that the sidewalks bordering your property be cleared. The board also asks that you avoid using salt or ice melt, as these materials can damage the sidewalk. Please use sand or cat litter instead.

In the event of a power outage in our community, residents are advised to contact Dominion Energy via the following link or by phone at (866) 366-4357. This will allow you to report an outage or check the status of repairs. Dominion also advises residents to call them immediately in the event of any downed power lines.

To report fallen tree limbs in the common area, please email Cardinal Management Group at l.westhoff@cardinalmanagementgroup.com and
g.eaton@cardinalmanagementgroup.com. Provide the nearest street address and, if possible, a photo. This information will help our contractor locate the tree. In the event that a downed tree poses an immediate danger or hazard, call Cardinal Management Group at (703) 569-5797 and follow the prompts to be connected with their emergency line.

See our Snow & Ice Policies guide for additional information. For general tips and safety information, you can also check out Fairfax County’s Guide to Snow. Feel free to contact Community Manager Liesl Westhoff at l.westhoff@cardinalmanagementgroup.com with any questions pertaining to our community. Thanks for your cooperation, and stay safe!
