The board would like to remind all residents that recyclables should always be placed loose in your recycling bin. Plastic bags damage the equipment at the local recycling facilities, and American Disposal Services will typically take any bagged recyclables away with the trash.
All items in your recycling bin should be empty, clean, dry and comply with the guidelines outlined in our Trash & Recycling Collection Guide, as well as Fairfax County’s Recycling Policies. Your home address should be clearly marked on the outside of your bin. Need a new bin? Contact American Disposal Services to buy one, or feel free to purchase one from another retailer of your choosing.
